About Nature’s Best Organic Feeds

Nature's Best Organic Feed is made in a mill used exclusively for certified organic feed manufacturing. We strive to provide you with the best possible organic feeds on the market today.

We began making bulk organic layer feed over 20 years ago. 15 years ago we added organic broiler feed. In 1998 we decided to become the leading certified organic feed manufacturer in the United States and to try selling our feed in the global market place. To accomplish this we became certified by first, NOFA, NY and then by QAI International. To fulfill the needs of our ever increasing organic customers we developed products as well as hired technical and sales support staff. We organized a sales program including dealers and became active in the organic industry. We then made a promise to our suppliers, customers, and the industry that we were committed to serve them with products that are guaranteed to satisfy their needs and whose integrity cannot be questioned.

What is Organic?

Our organic feeds are made with certified organic ingredients. This means that the crops that produce our grains are grown under a program in which a certifying agency certifies to the USDA that the crops are grown in a way that is considered organic according to national and international guidelines. In the case of our feed mill, Quality Assurance International inspects us, but we buy grains inspected and certified by QAI, NOFA New York, PCO, and other regional certification agencies. The inspections follow the grain we use right back to the field in which it was grown.

The rules that govern the growing of grain are designed to enhance the life of the soil. Healthy soil naturally produces healthy crops. Many consider the soil in non-organic situations to be biologically "dead." Many corn fields are grown with corn year after year, a situation that depletes the organic matter that is the living part of the soil. Insects, plant diseases and weeds build up, causing these fields to be sprayed with insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides, just so the crop will grow.
